Your exciting Indian Odyssey journey begins in Delhi, where you will board the train from the pre-decided railway station in the evening after completing registration formalities. A typical Indian welcoming ceremony is held, featuring warm hospitality and welcoming drinks.
Take some time to get acquainted with the luxury train interior. The train departs from Delhi to Sawai Madhopur in the early morning hours, and after a while, you have the feeling of the fantastic experience that awaits you. You are served an excellent dinner by the expert chefs of the train as you rest comfortably on the luxury train.
Overnight on Deccan Odyssey.
Wake up to the magnificent scenery of the state of Rajasthan as your train stops at Sawai Madhopur which serves as the entrance to the famed Ranthambore National Park. Following breakfast on board, set out for an adventurous journey into the jungle where you will go on safari at one of the most famous tiger reserves in India.
This national park is known for the abundance of Royal Bengal Tigers and great photography opportunities of these magnificent creatures. Apart from the Royal Bengal Tiger, other animals include leopards, sambar deer, nilgai, chinkara, crocodile, wild boar, and many bird varieties. The combination of rugged terrain, archaeological ruins, and thick vegetation makes this place a great destination for nature lovers.
Upon returning to the train for lunch, spend some time relaxing after your adventure before leaving for a rural area for a tour of a village. The day will be concluded with high tea at Sawai Madhopur Lodge which has been linked with the royal family of Jaipur. You will board the train back in the evening as you make your way towards Agra.

Arrive at Agra, where one of the most famous structures in the world is situated. Post-breakfast, pay a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal, which is an eternal monument of love constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Marvel at the beauty of white marble architecture and marvelously constructed buildings that attract tourists from all over the world. Later, you can enjoy your lunch at a five-star hotel and take a further excursion to Agra.
Pay a visit to the beautiful structure of Itmad-ud-Daulah, which is also called the Baby Taj, followed by a tour of the grand Agra Fort. Shopping can be arranged in Agra, famous for its handicrafts, marble inlays, and other textile items.
Return to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner and overnight stay.
Today, reach Jaipur, the buzzing capital of the state of Rajasthan. Start your day with a hearty breakfast followed by sightseeing with a visit to the magnificent Amer Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with being one of the most awe-inspiring forts of Rajasthan.
On the way, marvel at the popular Hawa Mahal, which also goes by the name Palace of Winds. Visit the City Palace, which will acquaint you with the history of Jaipur’s royalty, as well as the interesting Jantar Mantar, where there is the biggest sundial in stone.
Enjoy lunch at an elegant city hotel, after which you can spend your leisure time shopping for unique items in the colorful bazaars of Jaipur. Board the train again in the evening as you set forth on the onward journey to Udaipur.
Waking up in the mystical city of Udaipur which is popularly referred to as the Venice of the East, surrounded by the Aravalli hills and sparkling lakes. Udaipur is known to be among the most romantic cities in India.
Take a guided tour through the City Palace, which is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, with its courtyards, balconies, and collections of crystals. Then take a scenic ride to the picturesque island palace on Lake Pichola.
Have lunch at the Jagmandir Palace, which also comes with music shows. In the evening tour around the historic old city of Udaipur. Dinner and overnight on the train.

Land at Vadodara and start off your morning with a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, which is one of the finest examples of architecture dating back to pre-Mughal Islamic times.
Post lunch on the train, head off to the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum that holds some great collections of royal antiques, paintings, and sculptures. The next stop on this tour will be the magnificent Laxmi Vilas Palace that holds the distinction of being one of the biggest private palaces of the world and almost four times bigger than Buckingham Palace.
High tea at the Laxmi Vilas Palace and return to the train for dinner as you travel to Aurangabad.
Spend a relaxed morning on board prior to reaching Aurangabad. Later after lunch, visit the world-famous Ellora Caves, an important UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its unique rock-cut architecture.
These caves include the temples of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism that have been created by carving them into the hill itself in between the 4th and 10th centuries. These caves house the awe-inspiring Kailasa temple which stands tall among the most remarkable creations of Indian architecture.
Once done exploring the Ellora caves, get back on board the train for a final dinner.
